Bagrut math exam prep
2 min read
Two days before the Bagrut - Israel’s high school matriculation exam - what you need isn’t another summary, but someone to go through the exact question you are stuck on. On Avatutor you attach a question from a past exam, and the tutor solves it with you step by step on the board, stopping wherever something isn’t clear.

Working on real exam questions
Take a photo of a question from a past exam or attach it, and the tutor reads it and starts working with you. The question stays on display next to the board throughout the solution, and the tutor shows how to break it into parts, and what to look for in each section.
The big topics
Studying a function by an orderly checklist, derivatives and integrals, arithmetic and geometric sequences, probability, trigonometry, and analytic geometry - such as the equation of a circle and its tangent.
A method, not just an answer
In the exam there is no time to guess. The tutor shows how to approach each type of question - what to check first and what next - so that in the exam you know the first step even in a question you have never seen.
At any hour, even the night before
The tutor is always available, and never tires of the tenth question. Whenever it suits you - go over what hasn’t settled yet.
This is how it looks in the app
Short demos from the app itself - Noam, our sample student, learns with the teacher. Recorded in Hebrew.

Two days before the exam
1:30Noam attaches exam 35582 and gets stuck on question 1. Completing the square, a tangent to a circle, "wait, I didn't get it" - and in the end he solves it himself.

Six questions, one graph
2:00Alon and Noam study a function by the checklist: domain, intercepts, derivative, the rise-and-fall table - and only then draw it. The minimum sits right on the axis.

Add or multiply
1:50Eti, in the classic classroom: arithmetic and geometric sequences in one table - until the geometric one runs away - the hundredth term without counting, and young Gauss's trick.

It's not luck, it's counting
1:50Bella and Noam count the ways: a tree of two coin tosses, then why seven wins with two dice - six ways out of thirty-six.
Frequently asked questions
Which level is it for?
All levels. The tutor adapts the depth to the question and to your level.
Can I attach a question from a past exam?
Yes. Attach a photo or a file of the question, and the tutor works through it with you step by step.
Does the tutor just give the answer?
The tutor explains each step, asks you what the next step is, gives a hint before the full solution and checks what you did - so that in the exam you can do it on your own.
Does it replace private lessons?
It gives much of what you get in a private lesson - personal explanation, patience, and questions without embarrassment - at any hour and for a much lower price. The choice is yours.
